AUB-SAANA
About
The American University of Beirut Surgical Alumni Association of North America (AUB-SAANA) is a distinguished transatlantic organization that includes over 300 surgical members. The organization was established to strengthen the ties between a growing network of surgeons across North America and their Alma matter, the American University of Beirut (AUB).
AUB-SAANA was founded in 1980 and registered in the state of Maryland as a non-profit organization. Its members consist of surgeons or surgical trainees, graduates of the AUB School of Medicine, as well as surgeons who have been on the AUB teaching staff and friends of the Department of Surgery at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC).
The AUB-SAANA Annual Reception occurs during the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Clinical Congress.
Mission
The mission of AUB-SAANA is to preserve and develop a vital link between AUB and a growing community of surgeons across North America and the World. At the heart of this mission is the commitment to supporting the growth of the AUBMC Department of Surgery, by promoting its clinical, educational, and research missions. Our vision is to create a fertile inclusive international community that elevates its members by facilitating collaboration and innovation, creating advanced training and career opportunities, and celebrating surgical and academic excellence.
